Flood image is produced by comparing images before (2/2/2018) and after (3/10/2019) the event to determine where flooding has occurred. \n\n\n\nSuggested Usage: \n\nRed pixels are classified as water. These are flooded areas that are normally dry land. This product is best used with a layer or background map with known water that is prevalent throughout the year to determine where the flooding is occurring.\n\n\n\nSatellite/Resolution:\n\nModerate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MODIS); 250m resolution\n\n\n\nCredits: \n\nBrakenridge, G.R. and Kettner, A.J., March 18, 2019, \"DFO Flood Event 4725\", Dartmouth Flood Observatory, University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, USA, http://floodobservatory.colorado.edu/Events/4725/2019Malawi4725.html.", "summary": "Dartmouth Flood Observatory flood map for Cyclone Idai using MODIS: Produced 3/10/2019.", "title": "dfo_floodmap", "tags": [ "NASA Disasters Program", "Tropical Cyclone", "Idai", "Mozambique", "Dartmouth Flood Observatory", "DFO", "MODIS" ], "type": "Map Service", "typeKeywords": [ "Data", "Service", "Map Service", "ArcGIS Server" ], "thumbnail": "thumbnail/thumbnail.png", "url": "", "extent": [ [ 33.54070428, -17.98189812 ], [ 35.96225688, -15.59989908 ] ], "spatialReference": "GCS_WGS_1984", "accessInformation": "Brakenridge, G.R. and Kettner, A.J., March 18, 2019, \"DFO Flood Event 4725\", Dartmouth Flood Observatory, University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, USA, http://floodobservatory.colorado.edu/Events/4725/2019Malawi4725.html.", "licenseInfo": "NASA data and products are freely available to federal, state, public, non-profit and commercial users.
