This single band nightime thermal infrared (IR) image can be be used to detect active fire areas across Bolivia. The thermal IR band allows for the sensor to detect active fires at night and to see through some clouds and smoke. Active fires can be seen in the bright, white areas.<\/SPAN><\/P>
