Service Description: Date of Images: 3/16/2019; 3/17/2019; 3/18/2019
; 3/19/2019; 3/24/2019; 3/25/2019; 3/26/2019 Date of Next Image: Unknown Purpose/Summary: The Alaska Satellite Facility has developed a false color Red, Green, Blue (RGB) composite image of the Sentinel-1A/B Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) instrument which assigns the co- and cross-polarization information to a channel in the RGB composite. When used to support a flooding event, areas in blue denotes water present at the time of the satellite overpass before or after the start of the flooding event. Suggested Usage: In this image, water appears in blue, vegetated areas in shades of green and urban areas in bright orange. It is recommended to use this product with ancillary information to derive flooded areas. Note: Because these images were acquired during winter, there is a chance that the ground could be covered with snow. If large areas of blue appearover areas of land and now near a water source, there is a chance that snow is present. This can be seen in the Northwest section of the image on 3/16 and the North section of the image on 3/17.
