Service Description: Summary: Landsat-8 made an overpass of the Camp Fire on 11/8/2018 at 18:44:25 UTC. Using the different band combinations, different aspects of the fire can be seen. Suggested Use: True Color:The True Color RGB provides a product of how the surface would look to the naked eye from space. The True Color RGB is produced using the 3 visible wavelength bands (red, green, and blue) from the respective sensor. Natural Color: Vegetated surfaces in this RGB appears as red, urban areas as a blue to cyan color, and bare soil are various shades of brown. Cloud are white. False Color IR: Vegetated surfaces in this RGB appears as red, urban areas as a blue to cyan color, and bare soil are various shades of brown. Cloud are white. False Color Thermal IR: The thermal infrared band gives the ability to see the extent of the fire and the burned areas at the time of the satellite overpass.
