Summary:

Using Thermal Infrared colol composites from MODIS and VIIRS allows for monitoring the volcanic plume from La Soufirere eruption thoughout the event. By using MODIS and VIIRS, imagery is captured multiple times per day both during the day and at night.

Suggested Use:

Identifying plume locations throughout the eruption.

Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on Suomi-NPP and NOAA 20
