Purpose/Summary: This Band 532 RGB provides a false composite look at the surface. This product contains imagery from USGS' Landsat 8. Image produced: 09/28/2018
Suggested Usage:
This imagery can be compared to post-event imagery to determine areas where large amounts of soil, sediment, pollution and other debris have swollen rivers, bays, estuaries, and the nearshore ocean. These debris are an important measure of water quality and has important implications for drinking water, aquatic ecosystems and metal transport. Furter inland, rivers appear dark and when viewed next to post-event imagery it can help determine areas of flooding due to Hurricane Florence.
Satellite/Sensor/Resolution:
USGS Landsat-8 Operational Land Imager (OLI); 30m resolution
